Anglican EdComm is governed by a Board known as the Anglican Education Commission.

Each member of the Commission is elected for a term of up to 9 years. Six members of the Commission are elected by the Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney. Three members of the Commission are appointed by the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney. One member of the Commission represents the Anglican Schools Corporation, another represents Moore Theological College, and one is elected by the Board itself.

The Anglican Education Commission is accountable to the Synod and is guided by an Ordinance.

The Board’s responsibility is to establish the strategic direction of the Commission, to frame policies, advise the Archbishop and provide guidance to the Executive Director. The Board meets six times per year.
