Marilyn has worked for EdComm since July 2016. Her previous position was as the Head of High School of an Independent Christian School where she enjoyed leading the staff team in professional learning and together with a team developed the school’s Welfare program. One of her goals was to help the student’s to develop their learning potential. She also intentionally introduced programs and learning to help students see and appreciate the world beyond their world and to engage with it in some meaningful way. She has had experience teaching in both state high schools and the wider independent system both in Australia and overseas. As a Geography she travelled the world to bring the world to her classroom and later as a Legal Studies teacher she helped to bring the issues of justice and human rights from the court rooms and International courts into the classroom.
She is passionate about ‘all things educational’ and especially the transformative missional vision of training and equipping teachers to share Biblical truth and Christ’s love with students and their school community in an authentic way.
Marilyn attends St Aidan’s Anglican church at Hurstville Grove. She is married to Andrew and has four adult children.
