Avoiding the Extremes in Teaching from a Biblical Perspective
Many Christian teachers have limited their biblical perspective to Christian modeling and to making ad hoc ‘natural’ links to the Christian faith when teaching. One reason for this ‘biblical perspective lite’ approach is a fear of being trite and artificial–forcing the Bible into school subjects. A valid fear!

Ken Dickens is an Anglican who has been involved with Christian schooling for over thirty years. He has been the CEO of Christian Education National (CEN)–a network of Christian schools across Australia. He is currently the Principal of the National Institute for Christian Education, which offers postgraduate and professional learning courses for Christian teachers. Ken’s doctoral studies concerned the consistency of theology to vision and practice in CEN and Anglican schools.
